VOM Edible Cloud is a technique for gastronomy and mixology, allowing the creation of flying edible foam with the taste of your choice. To make it fly helium is infused through the liquid you create to form small bubbles. The cloud has an aroma and taste and stays with its properties for 5-7 minutes.

If you use VOM in your restaurant or bar we recommend getting a Professional Kit or upgrading your Basic kit with the high pressure valve to save on helium costs. Always make sure to start with the basic infusion recipes checking our tutorial section and cloud making basics video in specific for starting. Hard water, PH, Temperature and liquid sugar levels as also the speed and bubble size affect the cloud, playing with formula,the above parameters and dilution levels are what affect the most and we recommend mastering the infusion formulas before trying your own combinations.

We recommend following these quantities as guideline, playing and trying small changes with the formula weight are necessary and it is needed to use precision scale, as well the dilution and intensity of the flavour has to be tested in different percentages. Check this guide

Connections

Watch the How to Connect Video. With the helium bottle closed, you fix the valve first using your hand and tighten using a wrench. Once fixed, make sure the small precision valve is open - turning counterclockwise, and start turning the regulator valve counterclockwise until feeling a soft outlet of pressure - then you can close the precision valve and start using the device

The small red valve provides precision and exact control of the pressure infused to the cloud. also, it allows leaving the big valve open during service and only at necessary moments make a cloud. remember that once you finish the use completely you have to close the big helium bottle.

The Pro kit already comes with a 200 bar pressure reducer allowing you to connect to high pressure bottles, the basic kit comes with an adaptor for connecting to the small party helium bottle you can find usually in pink or other color in stores. Pro kit is recommended for higher volume both for ease of use and economically cost effective after. Make sure to choose your correct region for your Pro kit/Technical Valve

We supply Helium in Spain & Portugal, for the rest of the countries check your local gas/helium providers. Check if Air products, Messer, or Linde are available at your region and purchase through local distributors. The price of helium varies depending on the country. It is more economical to get the 10 or 20 litres if you have the adequate space for it in your bar/restaurant.

Make sure the filter is clean, well placed and that the transparent tube is connected. Also make sure the transparent tube is entering the base straight and not at an angle.
Always have the transparent tube inside the base before filling it with liquid when taking the tube out before emptying the liquid into the bottom chamber.
When both are well placed the device shouldn’t leak.

Make sure the black tube and precision valve are well adjusted and closed, if needed you can use a Thread seal tape (Teflon tape) to seal it properly. When the device is not in use for prolonged time always close the helium tank from its main valve.
